Schlapp up - REPORT

A well good night - many thanks to Gwyn who put it together. 30 souls gathered in the Pizza Express in Wilmslow for a grand evening and presentation led ably by Prof Tom Crolla who welcomed himself into the madhouse with a fine speech and, then raffled a bottle of Champers in aid of the Dave Rayner Fund. Here we can see Prof Tom wondering how he can politly tell John King he has made a sartirical foux-pas with his blancmange-hat used for the raffle.

The bottle was won by Maggs - Ski's lady friend from Poland. It seems that Ski was rather chuffed.

Our DSQ & Deck em trophy was deservedly won by Wolfie who did the triple - got knocked off, knocked someone else off and got DSQ'd - all in the same race! And then decked imself a few more times in the year. Mr Jonathon [yeah, still got a hangover]Norfolk presented the coveted trophy.

Gold Awards too for Mrs Tracy Crolla [racing], Prof Tom Crolla [speeches], Carol Wolfie [sewing], The Huffster [Skin resurfacing], J. King esq [Jester] and Gwyn Carless [Schlapp up organising].

As a way of a short, incomplete and inaccurate round up of the year, the Schlapps have 5 World Champions for 2006, three world record holders, loads of nationals champions, even more national medallists and above all, the best group of people riding under banner that can be - anywhere [beat that!].
